Rise of Al Qaeda in Iraq – US Invasions
George Bush’s highly toxic legacies gave rise to Al Qaeda in Iraq.Al Qaeda the formerly terrorist group has taken over much of western and northern Iraq and still has Baghdad in sight. Al Qaeda regularly attacked shia groups: shrines and clerics. From the past attack of 2006-feb over Golden Mosque in Samarra, which is the most important shia shrine in the world, Al Qaeda seemed unstoppable.
